ALH GROUP VENUES TURN PINK ONCE AGAIN FOR BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
130 ALH Group venues will turn pink in April and May as the hospitality group gets behind PA Research Foundation's breast cancer campaign Project Pink.
After being unable to support Project Pink in 2020 due to Covid-19, ALH venues across Queensland are thrilled about turning their venues pink and hosting a number of fundraising events and initiatives to help the Foundation to beat breast cancer.
ALH Group has partnered with the PA Research Foundation since 2010, raising more than $2.78 million dollars for breast cancer research at the PA Hospital campus in Brisbane. 2021 celebrates the 11th year ALH has been a key partner of Project Pink, which raises awareness of breast cancer and funds for breast cancer research.
PA Research Foundation Chief Executive Officer Damian Topp said the organisation is excited to be welcoming the Project Pink campaign back to ALH venues, in what will be a eight week campaign.
"ALH's enthusiasm and passion for Project Pink continues to amaze us, every year they show us just how much they care. They are as committed to the cause of beating breast cancer as we are," he said.
"We are so thankful to be working with ALH again after what was a tough year for everyone. We are looking forward to seeing how each venue gets behind the campaign.
"The support of the ALH community is vital in helping us fund researchers to discover new treatments and improved diagnostic tools which provide hope to every family faced with this insidious disease."
Media personality and Project Pink ambassador Georgina Lewis is also looking forward to throwing her support behind the campaign for another year.
"I'm immensely proud to continue my association with the PA Research Foundation and Project Pink, as breast cancer is something that affects so many of our mothers, grandmothers, sisters and aunts and even some of the men in our lives," she said.
"I'm always happy to be a Project Pink ambassador and attend events at some of ALH Group's venues as it is such an important cause. Please get behind this year's campaign which kicks off April 1 – your generosity might just save the life of someone you love."
ALH venues raised more than $214,930 for breast cancer research in 2019.
Project Pink events will be held in ALH venues throughout the eight week campaign and your nearest ALH venue can be found on the Project Pink website.
