Sandra Sully Joins Project Pink
We are thrilled to announce that Ten Eyewitness News Presenter Sandra Sully has joined Project Pink as an ambassador for 2018. Sandra is one of Australia's most cherished media personalities and we are very lucky to have her help us raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Sandra will join long standing Project Pink ambassadors Ita Buttrose and Georgina Lewis.
Project Pink will kick off throughout 123 ALH Venues on Mother's Day, with the campaign running untl the end of July. There will be no shortage of Pink High Teas, Drag Queen Bingo Nights, Pink Raffles and Auctions and Pink Bike Rides as ALH and their local communities rally together to raise crucial funds for breast cancer research. Collectively, ALH Venues raised more than $320,000 in 2017 taking the total to $2.1 million raised for breast cancer research during their 8 years of fundraising. The funds raised last year are helping to support two exciting new breast cancer research projects which have the potential to revolutionise the way breast cancer is diagnosed and treated in the future to help significantly improve the outcomes for patients faced with this disease.
In 2018 alone more than 50 women per day will be diagnosed with breast cancer and over 3000 will sadly pass away. This could be someone we love and know - our mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, co-workers and customers, even men. We have never been more motivated to put a STOP to women dying from breast cancer and are incredibly grateful to have the support of our special ALH fundraising partners and Network TEN ambassadors Sandra, Georgina and Ita to help us achieve this.
